BOOK REVIEW- “Your Dreams are Mine” Now
by Ravinder Singh
A very interesting story, explaining
relationships, discovering some new bold aspects of today’s world while
achieving dreams...
The story is about love,
relationships and companionship. The
book is quite interesting in its initial parts which are the unique part of the
author’s writing. We all have a dream, a dream to do something big, a dream to
give the world something for which you will be remembered. But, is it that easy
to live a dream? The answer is definitely no it isn't. The story is sets on a
plot from where there is no coming back.
The
story explores the romantic relationship between ‘Rupali’ and ‘Arjun’. Though
they are complete opposites and have nothing in common when it comes to their
interests and priorities in life. ‘Rupali’ is a small town girl, an idealist,
whereas ‘Arjun’ is a Delhi guy with keen interest in college youth politics. A
major scandal on the college campus brings them together and somewhere during
the problem solving they fall in love with each other.
The
story is set in campus of Delhi University where ‘Rupali’ arrived from Patna to
relive her dream. As time flies she gets to know the inner intricacies of
matters in the campus. A chance meeting with ‘Arjun’ sets tone to a blossoming
friendship cum love. The politics and love walk hand in hand and try to become
a dominant force. So will Rupali be able sustain it? Will Arjun be present by
her side all this while or will she walk alone on this treacherous path? Only
time will tell.
The
slenderness with which author has handled emotions is plain joy to read. The
story revolves around budding campus life, the excitement along with it is a
thing to which a young can relate. The Delhi University setup adds to all the
love and friendship drama and makes it a really worthwhile. The book depicts a
political agenda which gets a voice in the first half and is carrying on with
its purpose.
It’s
worth praising how the writer has written those tear jerking portions. They
seem so real and so emotional. I won’t say much about those chapters as I don’t
want to spoil it for the readers but I just loved the way the book ended. It
was a perfect climax for me.
The
climax was quite interesting with twists and turns and also introduction of a
different viewpoint as it unwinds with some not so distant memories. To unfold
the same you need to read this book.
Now my Positive viewpoints:
The
concept of the story is really nice and absorbing. This is a good
work done by the author for writing such a striking work of fiction. Even the
climax of the story has been scripted well. Overall, the book is highly
recommended by me, to all those who crave for romance fiction to pass their
time on any given weekend. It will make you smile, it will make you laugh and
it will make you cry. But most of all, it will brew that romantic feeling that
will make you fall in love with your loved ones all over again.
Some suggestive points:
Overall the book is good and very well
expressed. The twist in the climax leaves a little hit back in readers mind, as
it transport the reader back in the memory lane.
Final words:
Overall if asked I would say...this is a good job done by
Author (Ravinder Singh) … I would give 3.5 stars
to this book.
