It was at last JashneRekhta2017 festival, Wherein I was part
of core Volunteers team third time in a row. I was stationed at information desk right opposite to the Guest
lounge. On the second day
of the festival, there was a discussion on Manto. The panellist
for the discussion was RJ Sayema,
Actress Nandita Dass and Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqi. A couple of minutes before the program I saw my favourite RJ
Sayema, I felt the urge to capture a precious moment.
It was as if a dream comes true. Here I am talking about none other than the sweet, melodious chirpy RJ Sayema. She
was right in front of me smiling giggling at her
usual self. Her eyes speak a lot even when
she is not talking in her melodious voice. Me, the crazy admirer, went speechless. I walked up to her and
asked if she would oblige me with a selfie with her.
She needed no persuasion and quickly
agreed for the same. The result of the
camera was nothing as compared to the moments that we shared. The interaction that started with knowing
names quickly turned to literature. I was
basking in the warmth that oozed at that moment. The microphone broke the spell by
calling out her name. It was the time for her to make the much-awaited presence on the stage. She left me there filled with the Joy and
pride of Knowing her in flesh and blood.
I wish I could
reverse the time and freeze the moments I
had with her, making them last till
eternity. That moment explained me the true meaning of the phrase " time
and tide wait for none. I remain even
today left with a priceless shot that I
took in my phone. Though not perfect but
still the picture is the best frozen moment in time and will always remain so.
Each time I look at the shot it fills my
heart with Joy. In the words of John Keats,
" a thing of beauty is a joy forever "
