So this month featuring Author’s Interview
Can
you tell us a little about yourself? Your profession and your hobbies!!
I started writing when I was in the second year of my graduation. The city of joy confronted me with so many emotions that I started jotting them down on my diary and began writing short stories. Then, I wrote my first novel, “The Twirled November” in 2014. The paperback was published in 2017, which got overwhelming feedback from the readers throughout the country.
After completing my post-graduation, I worked as EXIM Assistant, as EXIM Executive, and currently working as a Business Development Manager. I moved from Kolkata in 2016. Currently, I live at my ancestral place in an outskirt town in Bihar.
I write romantic stories with slices of comedy. Recently, I am writing a mystery-thriller story alongside one romantic story. Nothing but the love of my wonderful readers always encourages me to write more and more.
The questionnaire with Krishna K Verma
1. How
did you first get involved in with writing, are you an imaginative person?
I’ve been
involved in writing since I was eight. However, I officially started writing in
2011 and completed my debut book in 2014. Yeah. I am an imaginative person.
2. What
do you find most challenging about your writing?
To come up with
a story that will keep the readers hooked up till the last page is something I
call challenging for any writer apart from the continuity factor. Not just the
idea but a lot of research is also required in writing.
3. What
do you do when you are not writing?
If not writing
then I find myself travelling & reading books as they help me in giving
life to my imagination.
4. Where
do you see yourself in the next 6 months, and 5 years down the road?
In the next 6
months, I would like to finish my second novel in Romance Genre, followed by
the mystery-thriller. If all goes well, then I am thinking of pursuing writing
as a full-time writer.
5. How
do you keep coming up with material/content for your story?
As I told you,
I am an imaginative person who loves travelling. I believe there are many
beautiful stories happening around us. I came up with the idea of “The Twirled
November” while travelling.
6. Any
specific tips you have for new writers who want to make it big in the world of
published books?
Seek out
support in your writing but avoid the tendency to give others too much
influence over your work. Create and/or join the critique group. Keep in mind the idea
about prospective readers. Make sure you’re still you when you write.
7. What’s
the best thing a writer can give to his readers?
Hope. A writer
is a world trapped in one person and I strongly believe that hope is the best thing
that a writer can give to his readers. In today’s society where the mindset of
people is changing rapidly in either direction. I write about hopes while
trying to bring a smile in readers’ lives.
8. A lot
of people are interested in writing for the money earning potential. What are
some tips for people interesting in making money from writing? What are some
realistic expectations in regards to what can be made?
There is no
denial that people do earn from writing and with the increasing demand of web-series,
the scopes are widening. However, my personal advice to those interested only
in money-making would be to go for some other job (s) or business (s).
9. What
is the message you want readers to take away from your book?
True love will
find you in the end.
10. Describe
your writing schedule. Do you outline?
I never
outline. I approach writing like I’m creating a very long improv scene in my
head and talking to the characters. I do take notes so as to ensure the proper
sequence of events.
11. What
is the story behind the name of your book?
1. “The Twirled
