Chai and much more....-Chaayos

India is the largest producer and consumer of black tea in the world today, with approximately 90% of households drinking this only beverage? But for all this love of tea, it wasn't until Chaayos that tea cafes became a name to relate to a good tasty chai. Chaayos is basically a  creation of IIT alumnus Nitin Saluja and Raghav Verma. The started it in the year 2012, with the aim to capitalize on India's small yet growing business of chai cafes.

Although I was familiar with the name “Chaayos”, but when a week ago a blogger friend of mine invited me to table tasting session on Sunday afternoon at Chaayos, Garden Galleria Mall outlet, like a kid I didn’t let the offer pass. So on a Sunday afternoon, I went ahead for my table tasting session of Winter Special on Chaayos. I was introduced to Divya- the brand manager for Chaayos and thereafter started amazing experience of tasting difference dished from their winter special menu. I stuck to regular Kulhhad Chai with less water, adrak, Tulsi. Took some time for it to be made, but was too good. The Shahi chai, black tea which is called a God’ Creation because it is a mix of all natural herbs and all were quite good, everything was indeed good. What makes them truly stand apart from competitors such as Nukkadwala, Chai Point, and others is hygiene, variety, and ambience, chipping away at the ascendance that coffee chains like Cafe Coffee Day have enjoyed time and again.

How to safeguard your family with natural mosquito repellent

The mosquito happens to be the world’s deadliest carrier of vector-borne diseases. The pest has become the prime pain around the globe being the carrier of Zika virus in America. In recent years it has made its presence felt in a major way in the Indian subcontinent.  With a surge in the cases of Dengue, Chikungunya and Malaria. The mosquitoes are causing Havoc across and eradicating them is becoming increasingly difficult.

As per the leading daily Indian Express, the countries capital Delhi registered 952 cases of dengue in the month of September 2017 and clocked a chikungunya caused the fatality.

The mosquito carrying dengue virus is active during the daytime. The kids in school, in the playground and even at home are soft targets for these disease-carrying mosquitoes. The ways to prevent these diseases is to reduce the habitats and growth of mosquitoes and limiting the exposures to bites. There are no vaccines available for chikungunya and malaria, hence mosquito repellants are the only sane choice to kill mosquitoes or for limiting exposures to the bites. When it comes to mosquito repellents the consumers can pick between chemical based or natural repellants. The most obvious choice for the consumers in the chemical based repellents are the ones containing the DEET. DEET is also called as diethyl-meta-toluamide is known for its foul odour. According to a study, DEET damages brain cells and also leads to behavioural changes. The DEET also gets absorbed through the skin and is known to cause reproductive disturbances and central nervous system disorders.
In the light of the above, the best and safest alternative is the natural repellents. There are a variety of plants like lemongrass and marigold that are effective in repelling mosquitoes. Putting them in and around the house can be an effective measure to fight mosquitoes. As per a research at Iowa state university Catnip plant is found to be 10 times more effective in repelling mosquitoes as compared to DEET. The neem oil is found to be more effective than DEET and has been confirmed by the scientists at the malarial institute in India. No wonder we can see people burning Neem leaves in villages to eradicate mosquitoes.
Lavender oils are a wonderful smelling and a natural mosquito repellant. One can dilute it by mixing it with other oils such as coconut or sweet almond and can be applied to the body.

In case you don’t have access to above due to lack of time or availability, then natural repellants made by GoodKnight are the perfect solution for the consumers. How To Choose The Right Water Purifier

With the increase in pollution and depleting resources of pure water, an individual today is pressed to take well-thought decisions when it comes to the health of self and his loved one. One cannot leave to impulse when it comes to picking up the right water purifier. Buying a water purifier is just not Paying for the popular one or the cheapest one. There are a number of factors that are to be considered before making a purchase. The key factor in making a choice is the kind of water received in the area where one stays. Further to this one has to see the technology used in the designing and functioning of the water Purifier. The price and the reviews of the products are also important factors that cannot be ignored. If planning to buy a water filter is on the charts for you then please go through the list of factors that are to be considered.

Water Quality
Water quality is the first and the foremost factor that should impact your buying decision. One needs to be sure of the water quality before one makes a choice. if the water you receive has a high TDS level is hard and saline then the correct option is an RO water purifier. These RO water purifiers are having a semi-permeable membrane capable of removing the micro dissolved salt, metals and impurities.
As of today, there are a number of water purification technologies that the market has to offer. Having the knowledge of various technologies is important to pick the right product. The market today offers products that are based on RO, UV and UF technologies. Below find a list of technologies that are available as an option in the market.
RO Water Purifiers
The Reverse Osmosis Purifiers are the ideal purifiers if you live in an area that offers water that has a high TDS level. These water purifiers are capable of removing impurities of heavy metals, Flouride, Arsenic, and other toxins from water. The only drawback is that they also remove some of the essential minerals from water hence it is imperative that the RO has a TDS controller in it
Gravity-Based Water Purifiers
Gravity-based water purifiers are ideal purifiers if the TDS level in the water is low. They are economic water purifiers and do not require electricity to operate. They can successfully remove bacteria, dust, chlorine, and cysts from the water.
UV Water Purifiers
UV water purifiers are the purifiers that can be effective for purifying tap and municipal corporation water. They basically use a high power UV lamp that disinfects water and remove the contamination. The drawback of these water purifiers are that they fail to remove the dissolved impurities from water.
Contamination
If you are having a water supply that is high in microbes and contaminants like nitrates, dissolved pesticides, and lead then the correct choice is always a UV based RO purifier. The UV effect irradiates the water and help in killing the bacteria and viruses. This is possible because the UV penetrates the cells of the microbes and destroys the ability to reproduce. The semi-permeable membrane of the RO is capable of removing the dead microbes and the contaminants of the water thus making it fit for human consumption.
Storage Capacity
Storage capacity is one of the important factors that one needs to keep in mind before making a decision. If one lives in an area that has frequent power cuts one has to buy a filter with higher storage capacity. The automated system of the purifier starts the purification once the level falls down to the minimal level.
Certifications
The product Certifications is a critical factor that one needs to check in water purifier before one makes a decision to purchase. Certification ensures that the brand offering are authentic and trustworthy. Live pure has been honored with some of the top quality certifications.
Maintenance and After Sales Services

Maintenance and After Sales services are the important factors that cannot be ignored before making a purchase. A water purifier that is high and frequent in maintenance is never the right choice.

Why mosquito repellent is a necessity ?

Why mosquito repellent is a necessity ?

Why mosquito repellent is a necessity?

Mosquitoes have bedevilled humans for centuries, spreading disease and death to millions. They are the primary vectors for major human diseases such as yellow fever, malaria, and dengue fever.
The World Health Organization, reports that more than 50 percent of the world’s population is presently at risk from mosquito-borne diseases. Nearly 700 million people get a mosquito-borne illness each year resulting in greater than one million deaths.
Diseases transmitted by mosquitoes include malaria, dengue, West Nile virus, chikungunyayellow fever, filariasis, tularemia, dirofilariasisJapanese encephalitisSaint Louis encephalitis, Western equine encephalitis, Eastern equine encephalitis, Venezuelan equine encephalitis, La Crosse encephalitis, and Zika fever.
When it comes to mosquito-borne diseases, the world’s attention has been fixated on Zika for the past year. But other diseases like malaria or dengue still threaten more people. This is particularly true in India, a country with a population of 1.2 billion, where the government is struggling to get a handle on the problem — though there are signs of hope.To understand the stakes, look no further than the capital, New Delhi, where this summer an outbreak of chikungunya affected thousands with fever and joint pain. This was soon followed by the seasonal dengue epidemic, a more severe virus that can be fatal.
The Indian market for various repellants is in the range of over Rs 4000 crore. With increasing environmental degradation leading to the creation of mosquito breeding grounds, demand is set to increase further, say experts. Using a repellent is one of the best ways to keep mosquitoes away from yourself and your family. Today market offers a wide array of options.

From mosquito coils to cockroach sprays to electric swatters, India's insect repellent market clocks Rs 4,400 crore in retail sales a year, according to a report by Euromonitor. Coils are the top-selling repellents with a 50% market share, though sprays are also gaining in popularity. Godrej Consumer Products with brands such as Good Knight and Hit controls nearly half the market and is gradually eating into shares of rivals such as SC Johnson, Reckitt Benckiser and Jyothy Labs. The country's home insecticide market is forecast to reach Rs 5,200 crore by 2020.
