Book Review—‘ The Other Side Of Bed’... by Bhavya Kaushik

The Other Side of Bed... by Bhavya Kaushik

This is a novel by Bhavya Kaushik … This is a story about love and separation of Nakul and his beautiful wife Tamana, Devyani his friend and about Amna, the one thing which is common and connect all of them is Jaipur bomb blast. This bomb blast left unforgettable memories on their mind for all lifelong.

This story is about Jaipur bomb blast victims, their friends and family members, the after effect of this incident on their lives. Nakul is the main character and the story revolves around his life after the death of his wife Tamana, the trauma Nakul faces and fights after his wife expire. The relationship between Nakul and his wife is explained well, how a friendship turns into marriage and two best friends become good wife/husband because it is easy for them to trust each other, and it is indeed emotionally narrated as well. The way Amna losses her child in blast was heart wrenching. This book made me recall the painful memories of Delhi bomb blast; it is simply an un-debatable loss to lose your loved ones in the blast.
The twist and turn in the story makes you glued to it till you come to the end, which in equally heart wrenching and emotional too.

Now my Positive viewpoints:

This is a novel by Bhavya Kaushik… who has done a remarkable job and a proper explanation to this story.

Very well narrated and written, the climax has been portrayed really well.

The bonding, understanding, between in a husband and wife relationship has been portrayed so very well.

Some suggestive points:
Overall the story line is good indeed and very well expressed, though it would have been more effective and great if the switch over between flashback and present was in proper harmonisation. Because in beginning the lack of synchronization make the story boring and reader might lose the interest
